Nappa is an elite Saiyan warrior from Planet Vegeta, and Vegeta's partner in combat. Prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta, Nappa was the General of the Saiyan Army under the planet trade organization and aid/partner to the young Prince Vegeta as well. After his race's demise, he along with Vegeta and Raditz work as soldiers directly under Frieza, which leads him to Earth.

He is one of the Five Kaioshin. He along with three other Kaioshin were killed while capturing Margin Buu.

He is a strong Namekian.He is the personal bodyguard to Grand Elder Guru, and is really strong for a Namekian. In fact, he is the most powerful Namekian alive (literally considering Piccolo is dead at the time of Frieza's invasion on Namek) at the time of Frieza's attack on Planet Namek. He would later fuse with Piccolo, meaning he would continue to hold the title of the most powerful Namekian, as he is a part of Piccolo's ultimate strength
